A Father’s Day food drive raised 210,000 pounds of food Sunday to help supplement dwindling summertime donations to St. Mary’s Food Bank.  The Arizona Hunger Campaign, which organized the drive, said the donated food will fill more than 30,000 emergency food boxes.

Members of the Scottsdale Bible Church, one of three donation sites, also chipped in about $11,000 to help pay for an additional 77,000 pounds of food. Donations were also taken at Christ Church of the Valley and New Life Community Church, both in Peoria.

St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance will distribute the food this summer.
