The City of Prescott’s Building Department along with the AZ Permit Techs are once again sponsoring a food drive to collect non-perishable food items from April 20th through May 15th, 2009.
“All donations will benefit the Prescott Community Cupboard Food Bank which welcomes baby and adult food,” says Building Department spokesperson, Janice Witt. “Last year we collected 1400 pounds of food,” adds Witt. “This year, we’re hoping to top 2,000 pounds. Our motto is, “No area is left in hunger.” To contribute to the food drive, drop off non-perishable food items at any of the following locations:
- Fire Station – 71333 White Spar Road.
- Engineering Services – 430 N Virginia Street.
- Prescott Public Library (Lower Level) 215 E. Goodwin.
- Prescott City Hall 201 S Cortez.
- Safeway Grocery Store – 1044 Willow Creek Road.
- Safeway Grocery Store – 450 White Spar Road.
- Wal-Mart – 1280 Gail Gardner Way.
- Wal-Mart – 3050 State Route 69.
- Forest Service Office – 344 S Cortez Street.
- Fry’s Food & Drugstore – 950 W. Fair Street.
