The SFSP is administered at a state level by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). Local organizations, such as schools and private non-profits, who operate the SFSP are encouraged to provide a safe and fun activity for participating children in addition to meals. Many organizations, like yourself, have a great service to provide (e.g. arts & crafts, music, physical activity, education, etc.) and can partner with those who serve SFSP meals to give the children an enjoyable and healthy summer experience. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) program that provides nutritious meals to low-income children during the summer months when school is not in session.
If your organization might be interested in providing such a service to SFSP feeding sites, please complete the Partnership Request Survey.
